To be eligible for NDIS funding, you must be under 65 years old, be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa. You must also have a permanent and significant disability that affects your ability to take part in everyday activities. The disability must be likely to be permanent (lifelong) and require support from the NDIS.

A NDIS service provider is an organization or individual registered with the NDIS to deliver supports and services to NDIS participants. After this period, you will have a plan review meeting to assess your progress and determine your ongoing support needs. Your plan can be reviewed and updated at this time. The NDIS is a lifelong support scheme, so as long as you continue to meet the eligibility criteria, you can receive ongoing support throughout your life.
